Online Psychoeducational Program for Genital Concerns

Subject area of study:
Psychology
Title of study:
Online Psychoeducational Program for Genital Concerns
Brief outline of the study:

The aim of the project is to evaluate an online psychoeducational program aimed at helping adult women with genital appearance concerns. This is an earlier stage of the project and so we are particularly seeking information on the feasibility and acceptability of the program. The online psychoeducational program will be delivered by a mobile phone app which participants will be able to download free of charge onto any type of mobile. The app consists of a series of weekly modules involving a short reading or video, questionnaire and accompanying exercise to complete each week. The readings and exercises will address negative thoughts, feelings and behaviours around genital appearance. Dr Sharp (a registered psychologist) will be available to support participants throughout the entire program via the app’s messaging system.
